Background: As recent federal policies attack immigration, language access, and affordable housing, immigrant families are experiencing a strong uncertainty in our city.

Housing Speaks!” is a critical community panel event addressing the language access and housing rights for immigrant communities in San Francisco.

The Bill Sorro Housing Program (BiSHoP) is bringing together key leaders from immigrant-serving organizations to discuss immigration, language and housing access concerns with members of the San Francisco community.

Join us as we explore how community organizations are protecting their clients and what strategies can protect our most vulnerable neighbors, from direct services & case management, to tenant organizing and site preservation!

Format:

  • Panel discussion with community leaders (40-60 minutes)
  • Community Q&A (30-40 minutes)
  • Networking reception with light refreshments (30 minutes)

Who Should Attend:

  • Housing advocates, case managers, service providers, non-profit members
  • San Francisco tenants, especially from SoMa, Mission, and TL neighborhoods
